Last week we were thrilled to present a coding workshop to a room full of teen librarians!

We talked about why coding and code literacy are important, how to get started with programs, and how to talk about coding in the library with your administration/board/staff/community. And then it was play time! We demo'd some kits, and then the librarians had a chance to try out a whole bunch of coding kits from each level.

What a week! We were at the Wisconsin Library Association conference last week talking about WisCode Literati and we were amazed by all the enthusiasm and interest we found. Thanks, and welcome to all the new members of our library/code literacy community!

Our first kit is available for download on the site, and we have even more great kits in the works! Some of them are programs we've done in our libraries, but some are still beta kits, and we need your help testing them!
